Hey Bookish Peeps!
Another month down for this year and I’m still trying to figure out where March went. I tend to always send out April’s a little late because of April Fools Day, but one of these years I’ll get around to finally post on the joke day. Who knows! I’m writing this one on the day of the Solar Eclipse. It was so cool! They usually are; however, there is something about experiencing them that is truly amazing. I didn’t go traveling to see the perfect blockout view, but the southern part of USA got to see a majority of the sun covered. Which is basically a fluffy way of saying, it looked like the sunlight got a little dim outside and the sun was still shinning super bright so you couldn’t see the moon hiding it. Unless you had the solar glasses that is (or a welding mask *cough*). The last one I got to see was back in 2017. That solar eclipse that went straight over me which was super cool! It got way darker than I thought it would and everything seemed to just pause when the sun went dark. A way better to experience than this round, but still glad I got to experience it. I completely get why people travel all over the place to see the whole thing.
For any one else living in the USA and in the south in particular, is it just me, or does it seem like the pollen is worse this year? No? Perhaps I’m just getting more sensitive to it as I get older. Or I just get blissfully forgetful of this dreaded part of the year. But dang Ya’ll. I’m already over it and spring is just getting kicked off for us. I really want to sit outside and open my windows to enjoy the beautiful weather. I’m not willing to start cleaning that stuff off of every surface in my home or myself. Hell, you might as well draw shapes where it falls and call it art, it just never seems to go away once inside. My best friends this pollen season are currently Zyrtec and a tissue box 🤧. If it is the forgetfulness, I’m ready to skip ahead to that part of the year again, thank you!
*sneeze* POOF! 💨 Pollen has spread to your computer screen!

I hope everyone’s April goes wonderfully and that you guys find some amazing reads for this month!
Thanks you guys!
Reading Theme: Weather in the Title
You know the saying “April showers bring May flowers” well, the theme for reading this month was pretty much inspired by that phrase 😁. I wanted to find a bunch of books that have different weather and weather effects in their titles for this month’s list. There were so many to pick from! Although, by far the most popular I saw was probably a tie between rain and storm. Don’t worry, I kept my list a little more diverse than just sticking with the two popular ones. And their subjects span a wide range of genres for sure! From American realism to mystery to romance, I’ve found it all for you guys. I would love to hear about any books you’ve read or know that have a weather element in their titles! Be sure to leave the book title below so I can go find it!
Happy Reading Everyone!
