Oh My Goodness! Where did February go? I didn’t do any type of writing at all. My February month was more of a writing pass. BUT I did get some fantastic reading done! I think I have been doing nothing but reading lately. Which also means I am way behind in putting up some book reviews. And I’m looking forward to start working on some more posts in the up-coming month. I know that I’ll have a few of those author spotlights I’ve been promising posting soon too. Woot!
I’m really excited about this reading list! Every author on the list is a new discovery for me. My goal while finding the top 5 reads for March was to find new authors, or at least newer authors to me. Have you guys read any of the below books? Do you know of any authors that I should check out? Let me know in the comments if you know of any thing I should try and read!
I hope you guys all have a fantastic kick off to March!!
My Reading List for March 2022:
The Astronaut and the Star By Jen Comfort
An out-of-this-world romantic comedy featuring an astronaut tasked with training a Hollywood actor for a space flick.
Astronaut Regina “Reggie” Hayes wants to be the first woman on the moon—it’s all she’s ever dreamed of. But after a PR disaster, Reggie is off the list for a lunar mission. To rehabilitate her reputation with NASA, she agrees to a different kind of assignment: astronaut “training” with a Hollywood action hero.
Jon Leo is a charmer. With credits that include an underperforming sitcom and a campy action flick called Space Dude, his upcoming role in a prestigious movie could prove he’s a star. But Jon isn’t just big muscles and an otherworldly smile—he’s also a total space nerd. He’s pumped about his own personal space camp…until he meets ice-cold Reggie.
Although Reggie and Jon are polar opposites, their mutual attraction is undeniable, and it only takes a few weeks in close quarters for them to give in to its magnetic force. Jon is set on convincing Reggie this is a match made in the heavens, but her future is in space, and his is among stars of the Hollywood kind. The odds of successfully launching a real relationship outside the confines of the training base are anything but optimal.
Reggie, content with keeping things casual, is forced by a sudden turn of events to confront the possibility of losing Jon forever. Now, she’ll do whatever it takes to win both the man and the moon.

The Lost and Found Bookshop By Susan Wiggs
There is a book for everything . . .
Somewhere in the vast Library of the Universe, as Natalie thought of it, there was a book that embodied exactly the things she was worrying about.
In the wake of a shocking tragedy, Natalie Harper inherits her mother’s charming but financially strapped bookshop in San Francisco. She also becomes caretaker for her ailing grandfather Andrew, her only living relative—not counting her scoundrel father.
But the gruff, deeply kind Andrew has begun displaying signs of decline. Natalie thinks it’s best to move him to an assisted living facility to ensure the care he needs. To pay for it, she plans to close the bookstore and sell the derelict but valuable building on historic Perdita Street, which is in need of constant fixing. There’s only one problem–Grandpa Andrew owns the building and refuses to sell. Natalie adores her grandfather; she’ll do whatever it takes to make his final years happy. Besides, she loves the store and its books provide welcome solace for her overwhelming grief.
After she moves into the small studio apartment above the shop, Natalie carries out her grandfather’s request and hires contractor Peach Gallagher to do the necessary and ongoing repairs. His young daughter, Dorothy, also becomes a regular at the store, and she and Natalie begin reading together while Peach works.
To Natalie’s surprise, her sorrow begins to dissipate as her life becomes an unexpected journey of new connections, discoveries and revelations, from unearthing artifacts hidden in the bookshop’s walls, to discovering the truth about her family, her future, and her own heart.
Court of Dragons By Frost Kay

As a daughter of the Dragon Court, Wren knows three truths: never show weakness, pay the tithe, and never trust the elves.
When the enemy strikes on the eve of her wedding, Wren has no choice but to fight. Captured, she’s dragged before the elvish king and given two choices.
Death or marriage.
She submits, biding her time as she plots and spies, determined to strike at the heart of the elvish royalty and take back her family’s throne once more. But the more time she spends with her dangerous and achingly handsome husband, she finds herself wavering.
Only the strong survive the hash moors of the Dragon Isles, and she can’t afford to question her loyalties, leaving only one final choice.
Strike hard and fast. Never waver. It’s his heart or hers.
Time to start dusting off those books from storage, the sunshine is coming back!
Feel free to join me in my own book club in discord! It is a place where we can all just talk about the latest books we are reading, authors can share what they are writing, and everyone can chat about our book we’ve all voted on reading for that month. I slacked a little bit this past month when it came to getting the vote up before the 1st of the month. SO, we are actually working on voting for the next month’s book right now! I’ll put up a post shortly with the books we are voting between. But if you want to check it out before that post, come on over a join the book club!
