Hey Bookish People!
It’s Fall Y’all! I am so excited to be watching the leaves change right now. There is just something special about the season changing. And that isn’t only due to the holidays that are back-to-back for the next few months. Its also the crisp air, the comfy clothes, fires, and the chance to use blankets and not have everyone ask why I am using one when it is 80+ degrees outside.
I have been on a massive baking kick with the seasonal changes – pies, brownies, cookies, biscuits, pretty much everything I can. It doesn’t help that I have been reading through a bunch of cozy mysteries, and if you don’t know, there are a lot of them that I find placing the main character (or a key side character) within a sweet shop or bakery. The authors are nice enough to include a couple of the recipes mentioned in the story at the end of book. Thus stirs up another round of cooking wants from me and my husband being ever so patient with the various batches I end up doing! On the fun side, my family and friends have been benefiting from my cooking mania!
November has been a month I have been eagerly waiting to arrive. Brimstone by Callie Hart is being released this month! Woot! As soon as I finished Quicksilver I have been impatiently waiting for book 2. I am trying not to get overly excited for it just in case I get it overhyped in my head, but have been failing miserably at that – Ha! Another release this month is Nora Roberts The Seven Rings, which is the final book in the Lost Bride trilogy. I found book one, Inheritance, by accident back in April this year, it was super good. I loved the characters and the mystery behind the hauntings in the manor, the curse on brides-to-be who live there, and the sweet romance that spins up, all made for a great read. I’m excited to see how the story finishes out!

Reading Theme: What’s Been Waiting?
This month is a little less on theme and more on items I have been waiting to read! Since I have 2 books being released this month plus a book I picked up at the store months ago, I felt like it is time to find a few more to round out the list. So if you have your own ever growing TBR and know you have some books being released like I do, fill in those spots with the TBRs you want to read the most! Don’t worry, I’ll have the new releases I mentioned above at the end of the list so I won’t spoil the stories for anyone.
