We’ve made it to December you guys!

I am just as surprised as you. It felt like we were never going to get through this year and now the last month is finally here. And I still have to go Christmas shopping! Yikes!

Well hopefully you guys have had an eventful reading year and have been able to accomplish your reading goal. There were so many of the books I got to finish this year that I’ve been wanting to read! And I found so many new books this year and in doing so plenty of new authors to start devouring their works. My list of preorders coming next year is already growing and it is just the start! I am eagerly awaiting all of those dates to arrive! But until those show, I hope you guys find something fun and interesting to finish off your year with reading from my list below.

If I don’t say it later, I hope you all have a beautiful December month! Find your favorite blanket, snuggle up, and start your reading!

My Reading List for December 2020:

Among the Beasts and Briars By Ashley Poston

Cerys is safe in the kingdom of Aloriya. Here there are no droughts, disease, or famine, and peace is everlasting. It has been this way for hundreds of years, since the first king made a bargain with the Lady who ruled the forest that borders the kingdom. But as Aloriya prospered, the woods grew dark, cursed, and forbidden. Cerys knows this all too well: when she was young, she barely escaped as the woods killed her friends and her mother. Now Cerys carries a small bit of the curse—the magic—in her blood, a reminder of the day she lost everything. The most danger she faces now, as a gardener’s daughter, is the annoying fox who stalks the royal gardens and won’t leave her alone.

As a new queen is crowned, however, things long hidden in the woods descend on the kingdom itself. Cerys is forced on the run, her only companions the small fox from the garden, a strange and powerful bear, and the magic in her veins. It’s up to her to find the legendary Lady of the Wilds and beg for a way to save her home. But the road is darker and more dangerous than she knows, and as secrets from the past are uncovered amid the teeth and roots of the forest, it’s going to take everything she has just to survive.

The Legacy By R.A. Salvatore

Life is good for Drizzt Do’Urden, better than it ever has been for the beleaguered dark elf. His dearest friend, the dwarf Bruenor, has reclaimed his throne, and his adventuring companions, Wulfgar and Catti-brie, are to be wed in the spring. Even the halfling Regis has returned. All the friends are united in the safety and prosperity of Mithril Hall, where streams of silver mithril run deep and dwarven hammers bang out the solemn rhythms of ancient and unending songs.

But Drizzt did not achieve this state of peace without leaving powerful enemies in his wake. Lloth, the dreaded Spider Queen deity of the evil dark elves, counts herself among them and has vowed to end the drow’s days of pleasant security.

The Vampire and the Virgin By Kerrelyn Sparks

1. Sunscreen
2. Bathing suit
3. Flip-flops
FBI psychologist Olivia Sotiris was looking for a cool ocean breeze, sand between her toes, and a break from her crazy, chaotic, and sometimes all-too-dangerous life. But when she escaped to the small Greek island of Patmos, all she got were meddling grandmothers trying to marry her off. Can’t they see that none of the men around interests her—except Robby MacKay?

Robby’s packing list:

1. Synthetic blood
2. More synthetic blood
3. Jogging clothes (even vamps have to stay in shape!)

Robby needs to cool off, too, since all he can think about is revenge on the Malcontent bloodsuckers who once held him captive—but then he meets Olivia, the beauty with wild curls and a tempting smile. When a deadly criminal from a case back home tracks her down, Robby will have to save her life—along with giving her a first time she’ll never forget . . .

The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood By Howard Pyle

Here are the beloved adventures of the mischievous hero Robin Hood and his brave and merry band of outlaws, who forged a chivalrous code to protect the oppressed and despoil the oppressors. Follow along as Robin makes his breathtaking escapes from his archenemy, the Sheriff of Nottingham, while classic characters like Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, and Little John create one hilarious escapade after another. Pageantry, knights, and beautiful maidens of old abound in the episodes comprised by this favorite story.

Burn Me Deadly By Alex Bledsoe

Eddie’s on his way back from a routine investigation when his horse almost runs down a half-naked blonde in serious trouble. Against his better judgment, he promises to protect the frightened young woman, only to find himself waylaid by unknown assailants and left for dead beside her mutilated body.

Eddie’s quest for payback leads him to a tangled mystery involving a notorious crime lord, a backwoods dragon cult, royal scandals, and a duplicitous femme fatale who has trouble keeping her clothes on. As the bodies pile up, Eddie must use all his wits if he hopes to survive.

I wish you a Merry, Happy, and Blessed Holiday season everyone!
