Hey Everyone!
January was crazy! Georgia actually had a good dose of snow to show up a few times last month. The South still isn’t the best at prepping for the ice that those snow days bring. BUT I got to get some reading done while we were snowed in. My pups also enjoyed playing in the snow for sure! Their goals were to keep as many flakes off of the yard and either eat them or bring them inside. You can probably guess which one I was least excited about. However, I can’t be too upset when my fur babies are having so much fun and entertaining themselves – with no destruction of pillows or toys as the result. But with last week being back up to the 70s and now we’re swinging down to the 40s this week, who knows what we are doing down here.
I hope all of your Februarys go well and that everyone treats themselves a little this month because why not? Get a book – new or a shelf-trophy, try out some boba tea, buy some of your favorite sweet treats, whatever might qualify in your life! Maybe some of the books from this month’s list make it to you own TBR shelves. I always think I’m going to knock a bunch down after a good strong reading week. Then I get on Goodreads or Fable and some how my numbers don’t go down after an hour or so of scrolling around. *shrug* Everyone’s got to have a goal. Mine just happens to be the opposite of a cup with a hole and we’re trying to fill it up! π
Chat with you all next month!
Reading Theme: Love & Relationships
I’m going to be traditional with the theme for our month of Love here. I want to read all things love for this month. New relationships, Enemy-to-lovers, Second Chances, Steamy, Contemporary, Smutty – find them all! I love how this is a theme that is found in so many genres it doesn’t matter what you like to read, Love is in the Air!
Reading Challenge: If reading a new romance isn’t much of a challenge, let’s try to find on that is based in a different country. I’m not going to remove Fantasy from the board if you want to count that – goodness knows my reading log is 90% fantasy!; however, if you stick around Earth, it would be interesting where some others might take you. Might give you travel ideas.
Happy Reading Everyone!
My Reading List for February 2025:
Beneath The Stars By Emily McIntire
Alina
I was eleven when I met Chase Adams. I loved him before I knew what lovin’ was.
I pulled, he pushed.
I gave, he took.
I loved… I lost.
Now he’s back. All grown up and sexy as sin.
But things changed while he was gone. So, he can show those dimples and flex those muscles all he wants. It won’t change a thing.
Chase Adams is nothin’ but a lost memory. I’ll do everything I can to keep him that way.
Chase
Growing up, there were only two women I ever loved.
Neither one of them ever really loved my back.
Until her. Alina. My Goldi.
She was everything that’s good. I was the bad.
She was the brightest goddamn star. I was the black hole shredding her to pieces.
I loved her wrong, losing her to my demons.
But now I’m back. A better man.
I’ll do everything I can to make her remember us, even if all she wants is to forget.
Gilded Wings By Jaymin Eve

πππ ππππππ ππ ππ ππππ πππππππ.
When my phone rings after a night drinking with my best friend, I had no idea my whole world was about to change.
“A book is missing,” a deep, unnaturally enticing voice growls down the line.
Panicked, I race out to Dragerfield Library, breaking all the rulesβeven if a book is missing, we’re only allowed on property during the day.
But if I don’t find that ancient tome, I’ll be fired anyway.
“πππ ππππππ
ππππ ππππππ
πππππ πππππππ, πππππ.”
Too late to retreat, I soon learn why the rules exist. Dragerfield is a doorway between worlds. A doorway to Risest, the Faerie realm. A realm they access at night.
And I’m the moronic human who wandered uninvited into their midst.
The fae use humans for two reasons: entertainment, and well, you can use your imagination for the other.
Even worse, the voice on the line that set all of this in motion is no ordinary fae. Drager, with his dragon scales and smoky scent is one of their gods. A Fallen Five.

A missing book is the least of my worries now.
I’d thought I was about to be fired, but instead, I’m heading to Faerie.
And it might be a one way trip.
